Microsoft has announced that Visual Studio Tools for Office 2005 will include support for creating managed add-ins for Outlook 2003. In addition to providing managed access to the Outlook object model, the Add-In support includes the ability to create new folders, toolbars, and forms as well as access to Outlook’s offline caching mechanisms.
